Purchase Terms and Conditions

Our online store at https://troycity.net sells decorative yarns, yarns for hand knitting, buttons, needles, accessories, textile products, and hand-knitting products from other manufacturers and distributors.

Registration is not mandatory to purchase products, but it is recommended.

You can register via the “Registration” menu at the top of the homepage, where all required information must be completed accurately and truthfully. After successful registration, your details can be modified if necessary under the “My Account” menu.

Product Selection

After entering the website, you can browse products by clicking the “SHOP” button in the top menu bar.

The customer can click on a selected product to view its detailed description. To purchase a product, click “Add to Cart” to place it in the virtual shopping cart.

By clicking the “CART” button in the main menu, you can review products placed in the cart, the invoice total amount, and shipping costs. Here, you can verify the correctness of the order, particularly prices and quantities, and modify or correct them if necessary. The cart automatically calculates the final order total.

Submitting an Order

If you are satisfied with the products and quantities in your cart, have checked the final total, and decide to purchase them, simply click the “Proceed to Checkout” button.

In the next step, choose your preferred delivery method (personal pickup, courier service, or MPL) and payment method (cash on delivery, bank transfer, or cash payment).

If you agree with the order contents, click the “Place Order” button to submit the order.

Prices

Our prices are the list prices valid at the time of ordering and are displayed next to the products in the webshop.

Prices are gross prices including VAT, but shipping costs are not included. Shipping costs are displayed during checkout before finalizing the order and are also listed in these Purchase Terms.

If an error or deficiency occurs in product information or pricing in the webshop, we reserve the right to make corrections. In such cases, the customer will be informed immediately after the error is detected or corrected. The customer may then reconfirm the order or either party may withdraw from the contract.

Order Processing

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days.

For products not in stock, pre-orders are accepted. Customers will be notified once pre-ordered products arrive at the warehouse.

Confirmation

We send an email confirmation for every order.

This means that after placing an order, you automatically receive an email confirming that your order has been recorded. If you wish to contact us by phone, you may call any phone number listed on the website or in the email.

Payment Terms

Payment may be made by invoice, cash on delivery, advance payment, or cash.

Shipping

Shipments are delivered via GLS or MPL.

Estimated delivery time: 2–5 business days.

You may coordinate the delivery date by phone using the number in the confirmation email or indicate it in comments or by email.

  • GLS home delivery: 1,990 HUF
  • MPL home delivery: minimum 2,900 HUF
    (If MPL shipping is selected, additional coordination is required. Final shipping costs can only be determined after packaging and once exact dimensions are known.)
  • Free shipping for net purchases over 35,000 HUF

Warranty

We provide a quality guarantee for the products you order.

If a product is defective, we will replace it free of charge. Please return the product to our address together with the invoice or a copy of it.

If the product is out of stock, you may choose another product or receive a refund of the purchase price.

Right of Withdrawal (Cancellation)

The customer has the right to cancel the purchase after placing the order but before shipment.

Under Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.), customers may withdraw from the purchase without justification within 14 days of receiving the goods.

In such cases, the service provider must refund the full amount paid, including shipping costs, without delay and no later than 14 days from receipt of the withdrawal notice.

Procedure for Exercising the Right of Withdrawal

If the customer wishes to exercise the right of withdrawal, they must send a written declaration to one of the following contact details:

A withdrawal form template can be downloaded.

The declaration must be submitted within 14 days from receipt of the product.

  • For postal notifications, the mailing date is considered valid.
  • For email or fax notifications, the sending time is considered valid.

The customer must return the ordered product without undue delay and no later than 14 days after submitting the withdrawal declaration.

Cash-on-delivery return packages cannot be accepted.

The customer bears the cost of returning goods. No additional costs apply except when choosing a shipping method more expensive than the standard cheapest shipping method offered.

The company may withhold reimbursement until:

  • the product has been returned, or
  • the customer provides reliable proof that the product has been returned.

Refunds are made using the same payment method used in the original transaction, unless the customer expressly agrees otherwise.

The customer is liable only for depreciation caused by use beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the product.

The customer must prove lawful exercise of the withdrawal right according to Section 20 of Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.).

If multiple products are purchased and delivered at different times, the 14-day withdrawal period starts from receipt of the last delivered product or item.

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • fully completed services started with the consumer’s consent;
  • products/services whose price depends on uncontrollable financial market fluctuations;
  • custom-made or personalized products;
  • perishable goods or products with short shelf life;
  • sealed hygienic or health-protection products once opened;
  • products inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery;
  • urgent repair or maintenance work requested by the consumer;
  • sealed audio/video recordings or software if unsealed after delivery;
  • newspapers, magazines, and periodicals (except subscriptions);
  • contracts concluded at public auction;
  • accommodation (excluding housing), transport, car rental, catering, or leisure services with a fixed performance date;
  • digital content not supplied on a physical medium, where performance began with prior consent and acknowledgment that withdrawal rights are lost.

Misuse of Products

The customer is responsible for compensation for damages caused by improper use of products.
